The Summer of Songbirds by Kristy Woodson Harvey

This book makes me want to send my daughter to summer camp :). I loved the stories of the songbirds and the strength of their friendships through the highs and lows of life. I enjoyed how the friends had each other do their hard things too. My favorite characters were Finn, Paola, June, Huff and Steven. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own

The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh

This book had me laughing out loud at various spots. Isadora is quite a character and has shut herself off from everyone until she tries an experiment. Her people that came alongside of her are my favorites--Marty, Cal, Darby and Delilah. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

The Last Chance Cowboy by Jody Hedlund

What a fun way to end this 5 book series of the McQuaid family! I loved reading about Dylan's and Catherine's story. I enjoyed the little glimpses in to the characters the previous books were about. I would have liked just a little bit more about them too. I really don't want this series to end, I feel like they are family :) Thanks so much to the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

Memory Lane by Becky Wade

What a great read, sizzling romance and suspense are the perfect combo. Since it is a series there are some things that are discussed that the reader is left wondering what the purpose was for it. I look forward to the next book and reading more about Jude and his story. My favorite character by far was Jeremiah, very swoon worthy! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

Break of Day by Colleen Coble

What a fitting end to an exciting trilogy! It took me a minute to get reacquainted with all of the characters but once I did, I was all in! It was so fun to be with Annie and Jon again. The suspense had me as well and the romantic side of Jon was so fun to see! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher. The opinions are my own.

The Cairo Curse by Pepper Basham

So much fun to be on an adventure to Egypt with Frederick and Grace. This left me turning the pages to find out who the villains were. My favorite characters were Grace, Zahra and Elliott. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

In Spotlight and Shadow by Rachel Scott McDaniel

This book was fascinating to me. I enjoyed how that author added different layers of the mystery throughout the story. Then at the end the final picture was revealed! My favorite character by far was Pierson, so dreamy! I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

Breaking New Ground by Amy Clipston

I loved being back with the Bontrager family and learning more about Korey. It's always fun to hear about the characters that I have read about previously. The aspect of their relationship being fake was a new and intriguing one. I really enjoyed the characters of Toby and aunt Dorothy. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

Ladies of the Lake by Cathy Gohlke

This book left me wanting to be part of the Ladies of the Lake. The bond that these four women shared was unbelievable and caring for each other amidst the hard times was enviable. My favorite characters were Portia, Stephen, Bertha and Bernadette. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

The Secret Book of Flora Lea by Patti Callahan Henry

This author has an amazing gift of storytelling and I have been fascinated with her stories in the past. This story didn't capture me as much as some of the other ones did. I enjoyed the way the story ended but it seemed to take a while to get there. My favorite characters were Harry and Kelty. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.
