Just For the Summer by Melody Carlson

This was a cute story as the two main characters switch jobs.  The characters are completely different and it shows through in their attitudes.  Ginny works hard wherever she is and Jacqueline is a very unhappy person.  It was interesting to see the main characters interact with the supporting characters.  I did think the ending was extremely rushed. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

Cold Case Tracker by Maggie K. Black

Another great book by the author that pulls you in from the beginning with the drama and suspense.  Every chapter seems to bring another problem but it makes the reader want to keep reading and not put the book down.  Hudson, Jackson and Amy were great characters! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.   The opinions are my own

All My Secrets by Lynn Austin

This was a compelling story of three generations of women and the choices that they made.  It gave a glimpse into what women experienced and the pressures that they were under.  I particularly enjoyed the characters of Mimi Junie, Addy and Mr. Forsythe. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Rocky Road by Becky Wade

Such a fun story!  I enjoyed learning more about the perfume industry.  The chemistry between Jude and Gemma was so much fun to watch!  Gemma was such a great character--I loved her wit and ability to rise above the circumstances with a good sense of humor.   Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Love in Tandem by Becca Kinzer

I read this author's debut novel last month and when I saw this one I jumped at the chance to read it!  The author has such an engaging storytelling.  The reader wants to be along for the ride and be a part of the characters lives, except if it means riding a tandem bike ;).  Zach and Charlotte were such great characters and so much fun to read about. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

Never Fall Again by Lynn H. Blackburn

I enjoyed meeting this family and look forward to the rest of the series!  I love how the family is so connected with each other.  This book had some suspense in it but not over the top.   I particularly enjoyed the characters of Eliza, Cal, Maisy and Landry. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Cole and Laila are Just Friends by Bethany Turner

It was so good to be back in Adelaide Springs and this time to get to know Cole and Laila better!  It was fun to be in New York with the characters and hear so many movie references.  The story was a tad bit slow moving for me at times.  I loved how Cole and Laila wanted the best for each other and knew how to do that. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center

This author has an amazing way of making the reader feel that they are a part of the story.  As a reader, I was cheering Emma on as she tried to do something for herself for the first time ever.   I felt like there was some beauty beneath the beast of Charlie but was interested to hear his story.  Emma's dad was so likeable--you wanted him to be yours!! I devoured this book in twelve hours and was disappointed that it went so fast!    Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Summers at the Saint by Mary Kay Andrews

This book has quite a lot of things going for it--romance, mystery, suspense, family drama ...   The family drama created a very tangled web and it wasn't until the end of the story that it was all unravelled.  In the beginning I was overwhelmed at the amount of characters, trying to remember who everyone was.  There were definitely characters that I was cheering on and others that were villains!! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Loyally Luke by Pepper Basham

THIS BOOK MUST BE READ!!!!   I didn't want this one to end.   The chemistry between Luke and Ellie is off the charts.  The text messages between Luke and his sisters are my favorite parts of the book.  I love how they tease each other, keep each other in check and encourage one another! The addition of the kids in the orphanage was so sweet and the reader will fall in love with them and the ways that they are taken care of.    The author needs to continue to write about the people of Skymar!!! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Roses for the Dead by Jenny O'Brien

This is the first time I have read anything by this author.  The story was interesting to me but there were a lot of characters to try to keep straight.  Detective Alana was a character that you would want in your corner as she went all in to solve the case! Thanks so much to netgalley and Storm Publishing for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Baby Protection Mission by Laura Scott

Cade, Ashley, Ozzy and Danny were such great characters!  I loved how Cade went above and beyond to take care of everyone around him.  The story captured me from the beginning and kept me until the end.   Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Undercover Colorado Conspiracy by Jodie Bailey

I've never read anything by this author but was captivated by the story.  There were lots of twists and turns in the story that kept me invested.   Thalia and Phillip were characters that were easy to relate to and enjoyable to read about. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Letters of Wisdom by Wanda Brunstetter

I really enjoyed how these books include letters of encouragement to their friends in whatever they are experiencing.  This book was a hard one to read as it dealt with such a serious topic.  LaVern was such a caring and compassionate husband.  I appreciated how he advocated so well for his wife and children. Thanks so much to netgalley and Barbour Publishing for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Trapped in Yosemite by Dana Mentink

These books are so hard to put down. At times it feels a little unrealistic that all of these bad things happen to the characters in such a short period of time but this is the only negative.  The characters of Hannah, Von, Bear and Stella were so good.  I enjoyed  the suspense and was left guessing until the end. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Baker's Secret by Lelita Baldock

War forces people to make choices that deeply impact their lives and the loves of those around them.  WWII in Latvia is something I have never read about.  The assault that took place their on multiple fronts was heinous.  Again the resiliency of the people shines through as they seem to do their best amidst challenging circumstances. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

The Last Stars in the Sky by Kate Hewitt

Wow!   This author does such an amazing job telling a story that the reader thinks they are living with Alex and her family.  I was rooting for so many of the characters.  This book will remain in my thoughts for quite some time. Description From a million-copy bestselling author, comes an unforgettable and heartbreaking story about one woman’s determination to keep her family together when their world falls apart... “Mom, why are you so mad at Dad?” “I’m not,” I say, which isn’t exactly true. Putting on a brave face for my two young daughters—pretending everything is fine in my marriage—has been hard. That, and losing the house after Daniel lied to me. I never expected to have to uproot my family to go live in my parents’ isolated cottage on Lost Lake. It’s twenty miles to the nearest town, an insignificant speck in endless pine forests. Nobody’s lived here for a decade. Now, I pick up a rusty pail from its nest of autumn leaves and turn to my daughter. Suddenly, I recall how I used

Army Girls by Fenella Miller

I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series.  The characters of Chris and Grace were so much fun to read about.  Grace has been through so much in her life but I enjoyed that she kept moving on with a positive attitude. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

When the Flames Ravaged by Rhonda Dragomir

This story gripped me from the very beginning and I wanted to devour each word.  I had never heard of this fire and was enlightened to think of this happening.   The author does such a great job of portraying each of the characters and I was invested in them.   I also enjoyed so much of the spiritual wisdom that is imparted throughout the book.  Unfortunately this world is full of hard times but so thankful that God is there with me through each day. Thanks so much to netgalley and Barbour Publishing for the arc.  The opinions are my own.
