  This is a debut author and I am so glad that I did not pass up the opportunity to read this book! This is by far my favorite book of the year and I also preordered it because I want to share it with family and friends.  I would also consider re-reading it! Everybody needs a Mrs. Kip in their life.  It was so awesome that Aiden joined in the adventure. There were so many treasure troves of wisdom in this book.  I do not usually highlight fiction books but I did multiple times in this one.  Mrs. Kip makes her end of life filled with joy and imparts so much wisdom throughout the book.   It is always such a privilege to read anything by this author.  I also follow her on facebook and really appreciate her love for the Lord and also her heart for foster care. My favorite characters in the story are:  Quincy, Norah, Nels, Sam, Alice and Mrs. Dovers.  I really enjoy a story that displays the possibility of second chances.  The most interesting premise was having someone ask you what your dreams are and then fighting to have them fulfilled.  I also liked the part of not letting the vultures get you. Eric is sent for the summer to a small town in Montana in order to climb up the corporate ladder in his Uncle Hank's bank.  Little does he know that there are many lessons that he will learn while there. Eunice is a middle aged woman who knows her days are limited and has a bucket list of reconciliation with friends and family.  She enlists Eric to drive her to seek forgiveness.  These two unlikely friends show each other that it's not the outside that counts but instead what's on the inside.  This is the 3rd book in the Colorado Cowboys series!   I was so excited to read this book and hear more about the story of Brody.  Brody had been through so much with the war and the abuse that he suffered under the hand of his step-father.   Savannah is a vet who is confronting being a working woman in a male dominated society.  She was an amazing person who saw the good in everyone, including Brody! I also really enjoyed the relationship between Brody and niece and his brother, Flynn.  Brody's sister, Ivy, is always a riot and has no filter!  This is my first time reading anything by this author and definitely will not be my last!! Merry Anna moves in to the small town of Antler Creek after a difficult divorce.  Adam is a local store owner and does very well in the local rodeo.  Their lives begin to intermingle and then a wrench is thrown into the story as Adam finds out he is the dad of a 5 year old girl named Zan.  This really added a lot of depth to the story and endeared the characters with the reader.  The rodeo theme was so much fun to explore as a reader!  I was also salivating over the strawberry pie that Adam made for Merry Anna.  I was really hoping to find the recipe at the back of the book!  It was so good to be back in Maple Falls again!  This is the 3rd book in the series and was great to find out more about Harper and her real estate business.  Her sales are struggling and she doesn't know what to do.  Her car is constantly on the fritz and mechanic, Rusty, is already up for the challenge of the car and Harper!  I really enjoyed the characters of Rusty and Sr..   I love when I get a chance to review a book by Karen Kingsbury.  I also love that my 8 year old daughter is joining in on the fun of learning about the Baxters through the children's books. Trouble is brewing for the Baxters on Kari's wedding day.  She is unsure on whether she is marrying the right person. John and Elizabeth, her parents are concerned about all of the kids. The whole book focuses on the wedding day and includes the different characters but especially Ashley, Kari, Landon and Ryan.  The story is told in the present day and in the memories of the characters. I love how John and Elizabeth are concerned about their adult children but know when to offer advice and when to pray for them! Val moves from Alaska with her 10 year old son, Tucker to work with her boss, Molly. Miles, Molly's twin brother, is a pastor who has been grounded from his passion of overseas mission projects. Val ends up moving in to Miles' second floor apartment and from there the fun begins.   There were so many fun  characters in this book: -it was so good to "see" Silas and Molly again -Lady Gwen was Val's mentor and she was so much fun, somebody you would want to hang out with -Carlee is the young lady who is mentored by Val and her spirit was amazing -Rev was Miles' mentor and each time he met with him, he asked him, "What is not wrong in your life" and he would have to answer for 5 minutes.  This is an author that writes books that are about current issues and draw the reader right in to the story.  I do not usually buy a lot of books but I had my husband pre-order this book for me back in August for my birthday. This story was a little bit slow for me and hard for me to figure out how the characters related to each other.  Cassie is the main character in the story and she comes home with her 4 year old daughter, Lark, to help take care of her Aunt Shasta.  Cassie receives an anonymous manuscript in the mail and is unsure how it applies to her life.  There is also another character, Nora, that is talked about frequently in the story.  This character was a little bit of an enigma to me.    I enjoyed how Cassie sought to take good care of her Aunt Shasta and really enjoyed how the community rallied around Cassie and Lark to help them out through this difficult time.   Thanks so much to the publisher for the ARC.  The opi...

 I was so excited when I was approached to review this book.  The author writes incredible stories and takes the reader on an experience with each book! The story revolves around Jennifer who moves in to her grandmother's house on Edgewater Road after her passing.  She is quickly surrounded by Lincoln and his men.  Lincoln is a neighbor who helps to rehabilitate people who have been released from prison.  I really enjoyed how the men worked to protect Jennifer.   The story has lots of secrets and it keeps the reader turning the pages to find out what will happen in the story. This is the first book that I have read by this author and will definitely not be the last.  I really enjoyed the characters of Alexis, Trish and Marquita.  I also enjoyed how some aspects of the story were so difficult but there was the chance for forgiveness and reconciliation.   I received a complimentary copy of this book.  5 stars I absolutely love reading about the Baxter Family.  In fact, I have even read the books for kids to my daughter and she has fallen in love with the Baxters.  I can't wait for her to read the stories of this family when she is older! There were always so many unanswered questions of what happened to Ashley when she was in Paris.  Previous books alluded to the fact that there was more to the story and in this book, the author shines a light on the mystery of Paris.   Landon continues to be such a fabulous character!  His love for the LORD, his family and others is so great.  I love how great of an encourager he is to Ashley.   This book gave me a lot to think about and I am so thankful to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own. 

  This is the 2nd book in the Maple Falls series and it was so much fun to be back in Maple Falls.  I enjoyed getting reacquainted with the characters and learning more about them.  The main characters in this book are Anita and Tanner and they enjoy working in the service industry.  I enjoyed cheering Anita on in the story as she has struggled with her self worth throughout her life.  5 stars Hot Coffee!!  This book was just what I needed!  I discovered this author last year when she published her first book , Sowing Season .  I had found the book on netgalley and thought it sounded very interesting and it was!  I eagerly follow the author on her facebook page and was delighted that I would be a part of the launch team for her new book, A Flicker of Light. The author draws you in to the community of Moose Creek with her phenomenal story telling.  I can almost picture myself in the town at the football game and cheering for the local high school team.  There were so many characters that I thoroughly enjoyed in this story including Bea, Mitch, June, Rand, Jeremy, Steve and Frank.   I always enjoy a book that has real relationships that can be rough at times to navigate yet show how they can rise above the circumstances through their faith and their love for the LORD.   I highly encourage you to check out this book...

 5 stars This was the first time that I read anything by this author and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.  I thoroughly enjoyed going on the Muir Farm and being part of their family. I loved the character of Maggie and how despite the difficulties in her life, she continued to try to help those around her and take care of her family.  The character of Neil was pretty fabulous too.  He had been through many trials as well but he worked so hard to care for Maggie and his family. This is one of the novels that you will cry for the characters as they are in the valley and cheer them on when they are on the mountaintop!!  5 stars This is the first book that I have read by this author and WOW!!!!  This author is like an artist and she paints such an exciting picture of the story with her words.  The story was told today and 100 years earlier and was such a compelling story.  I particularly enjoyed the current story of Chase and Devyn.  I enjoyed how more of the secrets came to light as the story moved on.  I will definitely be looking in to more books by this author!!  5 stars This book is flipping fantastic!  It is told as a time slip which I always have a little bit of trouble getting in to but once I did, I was madly in love with the characters and the hope behind the story.  I particularly enjoyed the characters of Sarah, Glory Ann and Clay.  This was a wonderful story of faith, family and healing.  5 stars This was such a fun book!  It was so cool to see what Eve and Audrey (the main characters from If I Were You) were doing.  I have so many great memories looking through the wish book catalog and that was fun to do that with the boys, Bobby and Harry. I particularly enjoyed how the author used something that was fueled by greed and turned the boys in to Wise Men who realized the greatest gift at Christmas was to give things away.  The boys weren't the only ones to learn lessons through this experiment and that was pretty cool too!  4 stars This book was a quick and easy book to read.  I enjoyed that the premise to the story was different from many that I read. I particularly enjoyed the character of Cassie.  She is a young lady who is working for the Keim family when their 5 grandchildren move in.  Cassie also moves in to help with all of the added responsibilities.  She works hard for the family and loves deeply.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

 4 stars This is the 2nd in the McAlister series.  I did not read the first one but did enjoy this one so much. The British Home Child was fascinating to read about as well.   Garth is home from the war and is still searching for his sister Grace.  It has been 10 years since he saw his sister.  At 7, Grace was adopted by a wealthy couple.  Her adoptive family wants her to marry without sharing the knowledge of being a British Home Child. The book is definitely an exciting journey.  I particularly enjoyed Garths friend, Rob.  I also enjoyed the couple Chester and Mabel who had taken Rob in.
