Elysium Tide by James R. Hannibal

It took me about a quarter of the book to get really involved in it and once I hit that point, I was hooked. Dr. Chesterfield has such an interesting mind.  It was fascinating to me how he worked the case.  Lisa was a great detective who stayed in her lane and was a great character. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Among the Innocent by Mary Alford

This is the first book that I have read by this author but will definitely be checking out her other books. This book had me turning the pages like crazy trying to figure out what is going to happen next.  Leah is a former Amish person who leaves the community after her family is murdered.  She becomes a police officer to avenge her families deaths.  Almost 10 years later there is another murder that is very similar to Leah's attempted murder.   The dreamy new police chief, Dalton, is also keeping secrets on how he is connected to the initial murders.  I enjoyed how protective he was of Leah.   This was a great story to read and definitely kept my interest. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

A Edge of Dusk by Colleen Coble

Colleen Coble is an author that I run to when I hear that she is releasing a suspense novel and this one definitely did not disappoint.  I love how throughout the books she disperses little clues that keep me turning the pages to find out what will happen. Annie is the local sheriff and has an 8 year old daughter, Kylie.  She became a sheriff because when she was a young girl she was a witness to her sister's kidnapping and disappearance.  The other notable character was Jon who was an ex-boyfriend of Annie who comes back to town to help sell the family's cottage.   Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Life Flight by Lynette Eason

This book is a must read!!!  I loved the characters, loved the suspense, loved me the medical aspect, can't say how much I loved this book! Penny takes on the hard cases as she flies the medical helicopter but finds herself crashed in the mountains with a serial killer on the loose.  It seems to just get worse for Penny as the story goes on but she gets to be reacquainted with Holt who is an FBI special agent.  I really enjoyed how much he looked out for her throughout the story! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

A Stranger's Game by Colleen Coble

This book was so exciting for me!  I finished it yesterday and am still thinking about it and wish that I could return to the story and the characters that were in it!   This author has become a new favorite of mine for her suspenseful writing.  I mainly read romance but enjoy throwing in a suspenseful fiction every once in a while. The story revolves around Torie who returns to her father's hotel to investigate the death of her best friend.  She meets a man named Joe and his 8 year old daughter and they team up to solve the mystery.  Unfortunately they are met with awful things happening to them throughout the story.  This one will definitely keep you on the edge of the couch as you are reading!! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.   I received a complimentary copy of this book. O pinions expressed in this review are completely my own. This book also releases on January 4, 2022.

Labyrinth of Lies by Irene Hannon

4 stars This book was a powerful book.  At times, I was a little confused about who the characters were and how they related to the story but in the end it all came together for me.  There is so much suspense in the story and a little bit of romance which is perfect for me.  Zeke and Cate go undercover separately in a private boarding school in order to uncover illegal activities that are happening at the school.  The amount of lies and twists and turns in the story kept me looking forward to the next page. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Mistletoe Countess by Pepper Basham

5 stars This book is awesome and hits all the notes of a wonderful book--mystery, romance, suspense, etc.  Gracelynn is such a fun character.  She is innocent, sweet and full of knowledge of literary works!  Frederick is an earl and is trying to find his way in the world!  This is one that will get your heart racing for the mystery and the romance!!!!! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Hostile Intent by Lynette Eason

This is the 4th book in the Danger Never Sleeps Series.  I did not read the 3 previous books in the series but was captured by the story.  Ava has been through so much in her life and she is still such a strong woman.  I really enjoyed the characters of Ava and Caden.  The author keeps you enthralled in the story and eager to find out what happens. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Chase by Lisa Harris US Marshals #2

5 stars           I did not read the first book in this series but I was captivated by this book from the beginning.  The friendship between Madison and Jonas was so sweet and I really enjoyed how well they worked together.  The mystery behind the events of the book had me turning the pages as fast as I could.  I can not wait to read the next book to see how it all comes together. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Never Miss by Melissa Koplin

5 stars The SUSPENSE! This book had me turning the pages as quickly AA I could to find out what would happen in the end. It had just the right amount of suspense, relationships and family dynamics in it to make it a great read. At first I thought the cat, Mac, was quirky but by the end I found it quite endearing. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

Trial and Error by Robert Whitlow

5 stars!! I have never read anything by this author but look forward to checking out more of his books! The story begins with Buddy and Sammy in the hospital waiting room awaiting the birth of their babies. Then the story fast forwards 17 years Buddy is an attorney and also helps families who are searching for their missing kids. He has been searching for his daughter Elise since she was only a couple of days old. Sammy is also searching for his daughter Reagan and they are unsure where she is. My favorite character was Gracie who is the county clerk and a classmate of buddy. She is extremely selfless and loves the Lord with everything in her! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own. Three Missing Days by Colleen Coble

5 Stars!! This is the 3rd book in the Pelican Harbor Series. Another new author for me to check out! This is the 3rd in a series and it took a little to figure out who all the people were and how they were related but once I did, wow! This was a novel with so much suspense and mystery running through it. I did not want to put the book down as I wanted to see who was behind the murder. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.
