Harvest Moon by Denise Hunter Riverbend #3

This was such a great story.  I really enjoyed how Laurel and Gavin both were willing to put aside their own issues to help out their friends little girl who was left orphaned.  The issues presented in the book were well thought out and left the reader with lots to think about! I received a complimentary copy of this book. O pinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Dog Days of Summer by Kathleen Y'Barbo Gone to the Dogs #2

It was so much fun to be back in this series.  In this book, we follow the life of Mari's aunt Trina, who is a country music star.  The author has an easy going way with her writing and keeps the reader on an enjoyable journey.  The mystery of who is sabotaging the dog rescue adds a unique twist to the story.     I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

Dark of Night by Colleen Coble Annie Pederson #2

This author never fails to keep the reader's attention.  She had me turning the pages as fast as I could in order to find out what would happen in the story.  I loved continuing to follow the story of Jon and Annie and the possibility of Annie's sister being back in the picture.  I can't wait to read the next book in the series.   I received a complimentary copy of this book. Escape from Amsterdam by Lauralee Bliss

This was part of the Heroines of WWII Series and I have read most of the books and really enjoyed them.  I loved that this story was set in Netherlands as that is where our family originally came from.  I also thought that the story of helping children escape from the Nazis sounded so interesting.   Helen and Erik are drawn together and seek to understand the world as it is changing so much with the Nazis invading the Netherlands.  They each have a very strong faith and depend on that and each other.  I wish that the story would have moved a little faster in the beginning and moved more to the heart of the story.  The Vissers were a very sweet couple and I enjoyed the descriptions of them.   I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

The Bride of Blackfriars Lane by Michelle Griep

This was so much fun to be back on the streets of London and be reunited with Jackson and Kit.  They are approaching their upcoming wedding but of course get entangled in some mysteries and difficulties.  As they delve deeper into these mysteries they learn more about their own personal history.   This was wonderful to read as I reacquainted myself with the characters.  The pages turned quickly as I enjoyed the story.   I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
