A Million Little Choices by Tamera Alexander

What a powerful story!  I love how the author includes the story about the house and how that intersects with their story.  There was a lot of heartache in the story but also lots of redemption.   My favorite characters were Jane and Bernice. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

A Deadly Wilderness by Kelly Irvin

Just the perfect mix of suspense and mystery!  The ending seemed a little abrupt but since it's a series, I guess the reader will learn more in the next book.  8 year old Marco was probably my favorite character in the story! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Starstruck by Amy Clipston

A swoon-worthy book!!   Alex is such a heart throb and even better person as he loves going to the children's hospitals and encouraging the kids.   Heather is also such a great character and I loved the way she pairs her baking with her favorite books.   This was such a fun book to read! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own..

The Last Exchange by Charles Martin

Charles Martin has outdone himself with this book.  The psychological suspense had me at the edge of the seat.  As the story comes together, it left me completely in awe.  As with all of his novels, I want to re-read it just to see the beauty of the story.   The depth and the insight that is relayed  throughout the story never ceases to astonish me.  Maybe Joe Sue is a phenomenal character in the story and I can't say enough good things about this one!! Thanks so much to the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Letters From My Sister by Valerie Fraser Luesse

This book took me quite a while to understand what the heart of the story was.  Once the backstory was developed and the author got into the mystery and the romance, it was an enjoyable story.  My favorite character was Solomon.  I really enjoyed how much he cared for the Bullock family.  The healers and things were something I could have done without. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Double Indemnity by Robert Whitlow

This book is full of mystery and suspense!  Some of the characters were frustrating to me.  I wanted to jump in the story and straighten them out :). Lyle and Sarah were my favorite characters.  Their faith and power in their prayer life was amazing. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

He Should Have Told The Bees by Amanda Cox

A deeply moving story.  It's definitely not a happy go lucky story.  There is a lot of sadness and loss in the story but there is still a lot of beauty and wisdom in the story.  Reading the story left me thankful for the relationships of those around me and the women who cared so well for me. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

Her Only Wish by Shelley Shepard Gray

Such a sweet book to read!  I love that Betsy made a life list of things that she wanted to do and that it caught on with her friends.  I also enjoyed that while completing her list she met and made such great friends.  My favorite characters were Betsy, August and Annie! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Last Holiday by Amy Sheppard

I'm not sure what I think about this book.  The positive was that there were a lot of twists to the story that I didn't see coming.  The negative for me was that I didn't really like any of the characters.  It felt like the story was taking a long time to get to the end. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

With Every Memory by Janine Rosche

As each memory is released from the characters in the story another puzzle piece is added.   As each piece is added, the reader is left wondering what will happen next.   When the reader is able to put the whole piece together, he or she can see how even the difficult things in life can still be a thing of beauty!    There is a warning from the author at the beginning of the book about some of the more difficult aspects of the book.  I was a little worried if it would be too much for me but I felt that the author handled the difficult subjects well. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

The Letter Tree by Rachel Fordham

I wanted to add a little extra on to this review.  I have been following this author on facebook for quite some time and really  appreciate the genuineness about her and love for the foster care system.  I highly encourage you to check her out there! This was such an endearing book to read.   The author takes the reader through a family feud and how it affects all of those around them.  Woven throughout the book are the letters that are left in the tree over a period of 7 years.  This was such a magical and unique aspect to the story!  My favorite character was Mrs. Guskin and how she took such a motherly role with Laura! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Keys to Gramercy Park by Candice Sue Patterson

The Doors to the Past series has been so interesting to read.  The dual timelines are intriguing and then how it all comes together in the end is always fascinating.  Some aspects are a little bit hard to read in this book but the author does a great job navigating difficult situations.  The present day characters of Andi and Beau were my favorites  Thanks to netgalley and Barbour publishing for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Amish Matchmakers by Beth Wiseman

A fun book!  Great to be back in The Peony Inn with the matchmaking sisters, Evelyn and Lizzie.  The new characters Ben and Mindy were enjoyable to get to know as well!   Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

Last Girl Breathing by Court Stevens

What a book!  It left me guessing until the end on who was behind all of the chaos!  I had a little trouble keeping up on which kids belonged with which parents throughout the book.  The mystery and suspense will definitely hook the reader, though! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

This is Where It Ends by Cindy K. Sproles

This is a new to me author and I look forward to checking out more of her books!  Minerva was quite a character but I also really enjoyed Del.  The story was so precious as it gives an idea of what an older person may be experiencing at the end of life but how much wisdom is there. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Wedding Day by Sue Watson

This was a great psychological thriller.  At one point, I got a little bored and hoped the book would move a little faster.  But ... there were so many surprises and twists that it made for a fun book to read. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own

The Swindler's Daughter by Stephenia H. McGee

This is my first time reading anything by this author and I look forward to checking out more of her books in the future. There was an element of mystery in this story that has the reader continuing to turn the pages.  I really enjoyed the wisdom of the character Melanie.  I also enjoyed the resilience of the characters in the story Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

The Secret to Happiness by Suzanne Woods Fisher

Loved this book!  I especially liked the characters of Leo and Bruno.  The story line was sweet and I loved each chapter intro about ice cream. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Countdown by Lynette Eason

This book kept me turning the pages as fast as I could.  The twists and turns are epic in this book and I didn't want it to end.  The suspense kept me until the end and will have me thinking about this book for quite a while. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The All American by Susie Finkbeiner

From the first line, this book captured my interest as I followed along with the lives of Bertha and Flossie.  I found their dad to be such an endearing character as well as their brother Chip who loves his family so much.  I particularly enjoyed that each section started with an excerpt from their dad's book.  This is an author that I absolutely enjoy so much and this book did not disappoint. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

Wildflower Falls by Denise Hunter

So good to be back in Wildflower Falls and with the Robinson Family.  This story centers around Charlotte, who isn't a member of the Robinson family.  She runs the local stable and hires on Gunner to work on training the horses.  These two characters are really enjoyable as they go throughout the story.  As a reader, one of my favorite parts of the Robinsons is their closeness as a family, it makes me long for that! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The School Trip by Miranda Smith

I needed this psychological thriller after reading a bunch of romance novels!  I was a little concerned that a kidnapping would be too much for my mother's heart but thankfully there was no torture of the child.  This book had me guessing throughout who was involved in the kidnapping and I wanted to keep reading until I found out what happened. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Hopefully Ever After by Beth Wiseman

It was so good to be back in the book store with Yvonne and Abraham. Their relationship is so precious and I loved how well they worked together.  Eden was a delightful character and as a reader I wanted her to succeed!   Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Heart's Bidding by Kelly Irvin

Loved the story of Toby and Rachelle and how they advocate so well for their siblings who have intellectual disabilities. It was interesting to think how the Amish would differ in how they value children with different abilities. Jonah and Sadie were such sweet kids who had such a love for life and those who were their friends and family. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.
