The Catch by Lisa Harris US Marshalls #3

This story was thrilling as it took the reader on a ride along with the Marshalls, Madison and Jonas, as they seek to solve a crime.   A great suspense novel for me ensures that I don't know how the story will turn out and this one definitely kept me guessing as to how it would all turn out.   My review of the Chase, #2 in the US Marshalls series  https://www.blogger.com/u/1/blog/post/edit/8389805168206511453/3255208939828161674 Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

When the Meadow Blooms by Ann H. Gabhart

Rose is in a sanitarium with tuberculosis and had to leave her two daughters, Callie and Sienna, at the orphanage.  Her brother-in-law, Dirk is a recluse after being scarred due to burns many years ago.    This story was truly touching about a mother's love for her kids.  I especially enjoyed young Sienna who has such a special relationship with creatures, especially Stanley and Josephine. Dirk and Lincoln both have been through so much and continue moving forward with their lives. This was a wonderful story that has stuck with me for days! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.  The opinions are my own.

The Sweet Life by Suzanne Woods Fisher

Dawn recently broke up with her fiance, Kevin and was completely shocked by the break up.  Kevin sends her and her mom off on their honeymoon to Cape Cod.  Marnie and Dawn are completely opposite in their personality and so this trip could be difficult for both of them. Marnie ends up purchasing an ice cream shop on a whim and from there the fun begins.  This book made me want to go out and get some good ice cream.    I really enjoyed the characters of Lincoln and Kevin! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Record Keeper by Charles Martin

This is the 3rd book in the series that talks about human trafficking.  By far, this was my favorite of the three books because although it talks briefly about the human trafficking, more of the story is devoted to the background and the brains behind much of the activity. It was so good to be reunited with Murphy, Bones, Clay and the rest of the characters in the series.   This author has such a fantastic way of writing and throughout the story, tears could be found in my eyes! I received a complimentary copy of this book. O pinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Little Women by Rachel Dodge

This book is beautifully illustrated and would make such a perfect gift for a fan of Little Women.  Each devotional corresponds with the chapter in the book.  The devotional includes a brief snippet from the book, application from the author and a prayer.  I really enjoyed this book and look forward to giving them as gifts. Thanks so much to the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Hues of You by Lucretia Berry

This is such a beautifully illustrated book that allows kids to identify and celebrate the shade (hue) of their skin.  I look forward to using this book with my 3 year old when he gets a little bit older in order to be able to understand a little bit more about his background! Thanks so much to the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.
