Willing to Wed the Rancher by Jody Hedlund

5 stars I'm not sure how but I liked this book better than the first one!  It was good to see how Maverick and Hazel were and also great to get to know Clarabelle.  The addition of Dieter and Bianca was great and the reader is sure to fall in love with them.   Franz was also a delightful character, he would be someone you would want for a teacher for your kids as he makes learning fun! Thanks to Bookfunnel and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Waiting for the Rancher by Jody Hedlund

5 stars Steamy!!!!!  The author does it again as she starts a new cowboy series set in Colorado!  The sparks fly between Maverick and Hazel throughout the story but intertwined throughout is some good old-fashioned fist fights as well.  The tension between romance and relationships is strong in this story and I can't wait to read how the series unfolds.   Thanks to Bookfunnel and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Protecting the Amish Child by Dana R. Lyn

5 stars Once I start reading these books, I just can't stop reading them.  Sometimes the frequency of the calamities seems over the top but it keeps me reading and forsaking everything else.  As a reader, I kept trying to guess who was involved and kept guessing until the end. The little Amish boy, Joey, was so sweet and loved the way that he was portrayed. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

So Into You by Kathleen Fuller

4 stars Such a sweet book!  I loved how the main characters helped each other out as they overcame their challenges.  The part about keeping secrets was challenging to read about as the reader knew that was going to be a problem.  My favorite characters were the male ones in this story except for Maude! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

I Think I was Murdered by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker

4 stars Intriguing!  The addition of the AI bot in order to find out who murdered Jason was interesting.  Seb was my favorite character not only because of his mad cooking skills but also because of his compassion.   Bestamore sounded so much like my grandma and brought up a lot of great memories for me.  The suspense and family relationships missed the mark for me a little bit in this story.    Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Her Part to Play by Jenny Erlingsson

5 stars I really enjoyed this book and didn't want to leave Hope Springs and all of the enjoyable characters in it.   The author had a way of bringing the characters to life with her words which further pulled the reader into the story.   The book provided all of the emotions from laughter to tears.   I loved how Adanne fought so hard for her community and her family's legacy.  John was working to overcome his troublesome past and had the support of his godly mother.  The supporting characters were amazing too especially little Jason! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

A Song of Courage by Rachel Wesson

Image
Selfless heroism!  Connie and Dottie use the cover of going to the opera to save the lives of so many during WWII!  The bravery and courage of these two ladies is remarkable!   The author does a great job of telling this story without going into horrific details of this time period.   Thanks to netgalley and Storm publishing for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

In the Blink of an Eye by Kate Hewitt

These books are my favorite!   I love how the author tells the story through three first person stories.  It gives a new aspect and allows the reader to see the story through each person's eyes.  It also leaves the reader second guessing who is behind the tragedy!  It also reminds the reader that everything can change in the blink of an eye.   Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own

The Protector by Wanda Brunstetter

4 stars The author is an expert on Amish fiction. She does a great job telling the story about what Amish life is like. This story caught my attention due to it being a mystery. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in the series to see how all of the loose ends are tied up. My most favorite characters by far were Salina and Alvin.   They both seem to have great personalities.  Thanks so much for that netgalley and Barbour publishing for the ARC. The review will be posted on my blog not more than 30 days prior to publication.   The opinions are my own.

Tracking Tilly by Janice Thompson

4 stars This author always provides a fun and easy read.   These stories are filled with mystery, romance and a side of quirkiness!  Bessie Mae was by far my favorite character and her frequent references to John Wayne were endearing! Thanks to netgalley and Barbour Publishing for the arc.  The opinions are my own. The review will be placed on my blog (kroosreadsandreviews blogspot.com) not more than 30 days before publication

Before We Were Us by Denise Hunter

Such a sweet story, it kind of reminds me of the movie, While You Were Sleeping!  I love how the author mixes in little unexpected surprises throughout the story.  Jonah and Lauren were great characters as well as Sydney, Graham, Meg and Jonah's parents. The resort sounds like a place that I would want to vacation at!  The author does a great job of making you feel that you are there! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Women of Wynton's by Donna Mumma

4 stars! This book had a lot of characters and it was hard to keep everyone straight.  I didn't really connect with any of the characters except for Mr. Wynton.  The level of deceit was uncomfortable for me and I wasn't sure which characters to trust.   I didn't enjoy the rivalry between Audrey and Cissy.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own. In accordance with the publisher's request, this review will be posted on my blog 30 days prior to publication.
