Deadly Christmas Trap by Lynette Eason

I listened to this as an audiobook.  I really enjoyed how the narrator brought the story to life.  She had the ability to provide different voices for the characters.  The narrator also had the ability to bring the suspense to her voice! The story grabbed me from the beginning as Cheyenne tries to avoid those who are after her.  She is cunning and so intelligent in her cyber life.  It brought a unique aspect to a Love Inspired Suspense story.  Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the audiobook.  The opinions are my own.

C is for Courting by Shelley Shepard Gray

The Schrock siblings remind me of what The Boxcar children would look like if they were grown up.  The four siblings have been through a lot together but they still stick by each other despite their choices.  I love that this story centered around an unmarried, pregnant, Beth and how she handles the circumstances.  she is such a strong and independent woman but then she meets Junior and some of that tough exterior fades away.  It's so much fun to see the other siblings and grandparents in the book.   I received a complimentary arc of the book.  The opinions are my own.

Echoes of a Silent Song by Amanda Wen

I loved how the author balanced the challenging story of Iris and the struggles she went through in the past with the present day of Callum and Blair.  The present day story was a refreshing reprieve from the past story.   Even though I have no musical talent, I appreciated the story and the love of music that the characters had. Each of the characters struggled with their own demons but continued to fight each day and to cling to their faith.  Their resilience despite the tough circumstances is such an encouragement to me.   I was provided a complimentary arc.  The opinions are my own.

On the Edge of Trust by Patricia Bradley

This book has so many great aspects to it--characters, suspense, relationships, etc. It was a great book.  I wanted to hear who was behind all of the mystery but didn't want to leave the characters.   Trust was hard to earn in this book as Tori has been through so much.  Her friendship with Amy was spectacular and I enjoyed how well they worked together.  I liked that Tori had a podcast for cold cases and was so invested in the outcomes.   I appreciated that Ben and the police department were compassionate and respectful to the accused.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

A Daughter's Choice by Kelly Irvin

This was a sweet story about a young Amish woman who had such a heart for animals.  Unfortunately, her heart for animals supersedes everything else which causes her father, who is the bishop, to become frustrated and harsh with her.  This conflict between father and daughter frustrated me quite a bit, I thought that his approach was harsh.   The story was sweet but was pretty slow moving for me. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Abducted in the Woods by Kerry Johnson

This book has me on the edge of my seat, especially since a child has been kidnapped! It was hard to know who was involved and what their level of involvement was. Tucker captured my interest as he bravely protected his sister in law and nephew. His selfless care for those around him was so admirable. It was amazing how Sarah could keep fighting off all of the attacks even though her son had been kidnapped. These stories are somewhat predictable in terms of how the relationships will go but the suspense and mystery held my interest. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

You will find yourself back in Sanctuary at the wild animal reserve in this second book in the series.   Unfortunately, the attacks are continuing on the Sanctuary as well as the people who love it. The characters in the story are so sweet.  The main characters are Paradise and Blake.  They are still working on their relationship amidst all of the attacks on them.  The real stars of the book are Jenna, Blake's mom, and her sons Levi and Isaac.  They have such a love for the animals and those around them.  Plus they love food and desserts! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.
