Deadly Rodeo Threat by Sami A. Abrams

Kroosreadsandreviews: Another fast paced and dangerous story that kept my attention.  This story was unique too because it revolved around the rodeo. The real star of the book was Shadow, the emotional support dog.  His ability to minister to the characters throughout the book was so sweet.   "She deserved to soar in life and in her job" I loved Logan saw the best in Izzie and wanted her to believe it too.  It was great to see him be willing to step back and let her lead and find her confidence! The relationships between the siblings in the book was special as well.  Throughout the book they were ready to dish out the humor but could rein it in and provide the love and support that was needed.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own. Synopsis: When his twin sister disappears, Navy SEAL Logan Russell’s search for her leads him deep into the woods, where he finds her best friend in the clutches of a masked...

Deadly Currents by Elizabeth Goddard

Kroosreadsandreviews: A maritime suspense read complete with pirates, ships criminal activity! This book will have you guessing as the story unfolds.  There are so many players involved and it's difficult to figure out who is a friend or a foe.    Braden is quite the guy as he will do anything to support his sister and niece.   Cressida is as tough as nails and is out to finish her deceased father's novel.  These two are stuck together as they unravel the mystery including Cresssida's estranged mother and her involvement. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own. Synopsis: Investigative journalist Cressida Dane arrives in Hidden Bay after a worldwide journey to finish her late father's manuscript on shipwrecks. As she tries to discover the story behind the "ghost ship"  Specter's Bounty , her only lead is a name her father left behind--Evelyn Monroe. As Cressida uncovers more about the ship, she quickly realizes...

Without a Clue by Melissa Ferguson

Kroosreadsandreviews: This book is like the game Clue and a murder mystery cruise meshed together! It was fun that it was the 7 authors hosting a book party on a cruise ship.  It was a little bit much for me to try to remember who all the Magnificent 7 were and what their genre was.    I felt like the murder mystery part was a little disjointed.   I felt bad for Penelope throughout the story as she tries to manage everyone and it's so overwhelming.    Another thing is that there is no mention of God or faith in the story.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own. Synopsis: A laugh-out-loud rom-com wrapped in a whodunit, this high-seas adventure proves that sometimes the best love stories start with a little murder. Penelope Mae Dupont has one superpower: keeping her cool. Which is essential when you're the personal assistant to renowned mystery author Hugh Griffin. But when Pip organizes a luxu...
