  Love this series and these characters who love each other so much amidst such a high stress job.  The characters of Zane and Tessa were relatable and the suspense in the story kept me reading and enjoying it until the end.  Although Hudson may start off his review with "I hated it", I would thoroughly disagree.  The author has an amazing way with words and is able to weave in tough topics while surrounding the reader with characters that they will fall in love with. I so desperately want to go to Indigo Isle and meet the "Monster" and see how he harvests the indigo.  I can just imagine the majestic beauty of the island from the authors words. This is a fun and easy book to read. The reader quickly figures out how the story will probably end but it is fun to go along with the characters as the story unfolds.   This author never fails to write a book about a social issue and give the reader both sides of the story. The reader is left feeling empathy for each of the characters and realizing that everything in the world is not black and white even over issues that are so life changing.   I did not have the pleasure of reading the first book in this series but I enjoyed getting to know these characters. I found the characters of May and Carl so interesting as they battle the burns from their past. It was at times difficult to understand the family dynamics of holding a grudge for so long but enjoyed the way the author navigated those issues.
