Convincing the Cowgirl by Jody Hedlund

 This book has all of the great parts of a wonderful story--characters that are enjoyable (Spencer, Patience, Evangeline and Tex), plot that is interesting (marriage of convenience) and romance (the sparks between the characters is chemical)!  I can't wait to read the story of the youngest sister, Felicity!

Some Like it Scot by Pepper Basham

 Wow!  The puns and misadventures in this book were such a treat!  Katie had such a humble view of herself and didn't take herself seriously.  Her ability to laugh off her blinders and find the joy in each day was so endearing.  Katie's descriptions of Graeme painted him in such a good light.  Mirren was an incredible character and a person you would want in your corner.  Lachlan was just adorable as could be.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The 5-Minute Visual Guide to the Bible by Michael Wittmer

5 stars This is a fantastic book that gives an overview of the Bible.  I enjoyed that while I was reading in the minor prophets, I could turn to the section about the minor prophets and understand more about what was happening in Amos.  I also really enjoyed how the author put a Scripture index in the back of the book to help the reader find out more information quickly.  The pictures are also stunning  throughout the book.   I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
