Kroosreadsandreviews thoughts:  It was so good to be back in Gossamer Falls and be reunited with the Quinn family.  There are a lot of characters in this story and it is sometimes hard to remember the stories of other characters but the story was riveting.


I want to be a part of the Quinn family.  They care so much about each other and will drop everything in a second to help each other out.  

I was Team Gray in this story.  I felt like he got the brunt of the Quinn family even though he had a difficult past.  He worked so hard at protecting the community and those who lived within it.  

I loved how Meredith took her dental clinic on the road to help those who needed it.   She wore her heart on her sleeve throughout the book and was quick to care for those around her.

What's it about?  Dr. Meredith Quinn always planned to return to Gossamer Falls to practice dentistry. Now that she's back home, she's made it a point to offer clinics to children and adults in nearby underserved areas. Unfortunately, those same areas are known to harbor drug traffickers, and Police Chief Grayson Ward suspects that local law enforcement is looking the other way.

After too many losses, Grayson has closed off his heart. But with Meredith in his life, he feels his walls crumbling, leaving him exposed and vulnerable. To keep her alive, he must keep her close, but that makes it impossible for him to retreat and rebuild.

Will she be the one who finally helps him emerge from isolation? Or will this force of nature leave him shattered?

5 stars!!!! Somewhere is the place where the reader will want to be!! From the prologue the author has the reader picturing themselves in the story. She engages the reader with her typical deep storyline with its sprinkling of humor throughout.   The idea of turning these abandoned ghost towns into viable properties is such an engaging story I love Maudie--she loves Avalee deeply but also confronts her when needed. A Picture of Hope by Liz Tolsma

5 stars If you enjoy World War II historical fiction, this is the book for you.  I have read many WWII novels but this was a different spin on it with the story revolving around a little girl named Claire who had Down Syndrome.   I think I may need to re-read the ending because I was trying to read the book as fast as I could because I wanted so desperately to know how the story would end!  The character of Sister Maria-Theresa was one that I loved.  She had such strength and faith amidst the adversity that they were facing.  Maria-Theresa always sought the Lord during the crisis and had such wisdom for those around her.   I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.  Wow!   This author does such an amazing job telling a story that the reader thinks they are living with Alex and her family.  I was rooting for so many of the characters.  This book will remain in my thoughts for quite some time.
