I love Hope Harbor, especially Charley, the taco philosopher!


There were so many great characters highlighted in this story including Bren, Emma and Fred.  I loved how Fred and Bren went out of their way to help people in need.  Noah was a wild card and it was interesting to see his character develop throughout the book!


There are so many places that I want to visit in Hope Harbor but especially the book store and the bakery!

What's it about:


After years of searching, Bren Ryan has found her place in Hope Harbor. Working as a barista suits her to a T, as does the laid-back vibe of her adopted town. Nothing is lacking in her life--except romance. But that's okay. Men are a complication she doesn't need.


Buttoned-up CPA Noah Ward isn't looking for love, either, when he arrives in town on a mission to convince his father to move closer to him. And he certainly doesn't intend to fall for the quirky, free-spirited woman who's taken up residence in his father's guest cottage.


But when Noah finds himself sucked into Bren's quest to help a struggling teen, might the two of them discover there's more to each other than meets the eye?

5 stars!!!! Somewhere is the place where the reader will want to be!! From the prologue the author has the reader picturing themselves in the story. She engages the reader with her typical deep storyline with its sprinkling of humor throughout.   The idea of turning these abandoned ghost towns into viable properties is such an engaging story I love Maudie--she loves Avalee deeply but also confronts her when needed. Ambush by Colleen Coble

 Such a great setting for this romantic suspense book!  The Sanctuary is home to exotic animals but Paradise is hoping that it will be home to her as she confronts her past.  Blake is doing the noble thing by coming home to help his mom and brothers but comes alongside Paradise to help discover all of the attacks on the Sanctuary.   My favorite characters were Jenna, Levi and Isaac.  Those little boys were so sweet!    Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Some Like it Scot by Pepper Basham

 Wow!  The puns and misadventures in this book were such a treat!  Katie had such a humble view of herself and didn't take herself seriously.  Her ability to laugh off her blinders and find the joy in each day was so endearing.  Katie's descriptions of Graeme painted him in such a good light.  Mirren was an incredible character and a person you would want in your corner.  Lachlan was just adorable as could be.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.
