Unshaken by Shelley Shepard Gray

 This book took me on such an adventure as Stephanie goes into "witness protection" after being a witness to a murder.  


I loved how Hardy, Carter and Bev stepped up to protect a woman that was a complete stranger.  The strength and courage that Stephanie displayed as she was separated from her Amish community was amazing.  


It was hard to see the challenges of kids who were not supported adequately in the foster care system.

  Kroosreadsandreviews thoughts: I loved being in the Pacific Northwest in the 1890's as the characters progress towards more updates.  It was interesting to see the thoughts behind the roads that were laid and how mail was distributed.   I loved Mary and her fierce determination and resilience to survive amidst a harsh climate.   She took a lot of risks in order to achieve her dreams.   There seemed to be a lot of loose ends but maybe those will weave together in the next book? The 5-Minute Visual Guide to the Bible by Michael Wittmer

5 stars This is a fantastic book that gives an overview of the Bible.  I enjoyed that while I was reading in the minor prophets, I could turn to the section about the minor prophets and understand more about what was happening in Amos.  I also really enjoyed how the author put a Scripture index in the back of the book to help the reader find out more information quickly.  The pictures are also stunning  throughout the book.   I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
