Detecting Deadly Threats by Carol J. Post

Kroosreadsandreveiws:

I read this as an audiobook and each narrator takes a little bit to get used to but she did a great job.  The pace of the narration was on point and her ability to use different inflections for different characters was appreciated.

The story was a classic love inspired Suspense story.   The interaction between Zach and Lauren was great.  I especially enjoyed how she related to William through gaming and shared experiences.  Ranger was the star of the show as he protected those he loved.

Thanks to netgalley and Harlequin for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Synopsis:

With ruthless criminals closing in,
this K-9 is on a mission to defend.

Amateur photographer Lauren Hollander narrowly escapes a kidnapping attempt—moments before a disastrous earthquake rocks her small town, destroying her store. She’s saved from the rubble by Zachery Kimball and his search and rescue K-9, Ranger. Someone is determined to get to Lauren—but who, and why? Is it tied to her brother’s criminal past? Or are the culprits after the pictures on her camera? Under Zach and Ranger’s protection, Lauren races to discover the truth behind all the attacks. But as the danger escalates, can they survive long enough to untangle the mystery that’s putting their lives on the line?
