I am a big fan of this author and her legal suspense novels.

This novel is an intense, fast moving tale of Chloe, who is embarking on a legal suit against her gymnast coach.  She is a young lady that is struggling with the abuse that she endured but has a tenacity and resilience that longs to protect others.  

Dare is a slightly older law student who is trying to give wholeheartedly to his studies but is assigned to Chloe's case.  

This is where the reader comes into learning about the past and how it changes the present.

The story will capture you and will surprise you as the web of deception becomes clearer.  

Book Blurb:

When Chloe Ainsworth's older sister reappears after fourteen years, she brings with her the news that Chloe's abuser is back in town. Chloe is a coach at her childhood gym and fiercely protective of her young gymnasts. She won't allow them to suffer the way she did, but she's desperate for an ally—one who can help her make her case.

Law student Dare Shepherd works at the local legal clinic, where he meets Chloe and hears her out. He believes her case but can't get the clinic director on board. As he learns more about her story, he finds himself bound by a deepening personal care for Chloe.

  Kroosreadsandreviews thoughts: I loved being in the Pacific Northwest in the 1890's as the characters progress towards more updates.  It was interesting to see the thoughts behind the roads that were laid and how mail was distributed.   I loved Mary and her fierce determination and resilience to survive amidst a harsh climate.   She took a lot of risks in order to achieve her dreams.   There seemed to be a lot of loose ends but maybe those will weave together in the next book?   The mystery of who is after Pilar captivates the reader.  Thankfully she has Chase and his family to support her throughout the challenges.   I listened to this as an audiobook and I wanted to speak to this as well. Deadly Christmas Trap by Lynette Eason

  I listened to this as an audiobook.  I really enjoyed how the narrator brought the story to life.  She had the ability to provide different voices for the characters.  The narrator also had the ability to bring the suspense to her voice! The story grabbed me from the beginning as Cheyenne tries to avoid those who are after her.  She is cunning and so intelligent in her cyber life.  It brought a unique aspect to a Love Inspired Suspense story.  Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the audiobook.  The opinions are my own.
