The View from Coral Cove by Amy Clipston

I really enjoy reading anything by this author whether it be contemporary fiction or Amish fiction.   This story takes us to the town of Coral Cove where Maya goes to take over running her great aunt Cece's toy store.  The fun begins when a little kitten comes in to the store followed by little Ashlyn and her father, Brody, the local vet.  This was such a fun story for me that I finished the book within 24 hours!  There was one part in the story where Maya was given something and the tears just flowed for me, which doesn't happen often from a book! I received a complimentary copy of this book. O pinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

The Child I Never Had by Kate Hewitt

This is an incredible story about the hope and heartbreak of open adoption told from the viewpoint of child, biological mom and adoptive mom.  The story was told in the present and in the past.  For me, the story captivated the emotions of adoption and sometimes the secrets that are kept. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Daily Wisdom for Women by Barbour Publishing

I was so excited to receive this devotional.  The devotional is set for 2022 but I read each day of December.  Each day starts with a Scripture verse, followed by a meditation by the author and ends with a prayer.  This month I have been really encouraged by the words that have been written in the devotional and I look forward to continuing to read it in 2022! This would make a great gift for a loved one for the new year!! I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.

The Bookseller's Promise by Beth Wiseman

Yvonne is an English woman who is engaged to Trevor.  She finds rare books for clients and has found the book that her client wants.  Unfortunately, the Amish man, Jake, doesn't want to sell the book because he made a promise to his grandfather to never sell it.   I really enjoyed the premise of the book but unfortunately it did not capture my interest like I thought it would.  I enjoyed how the ending tied it all together but it the boo9k was lacking for me in engagement. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Bless Your Heart, Rae Sutton by Susannah B. Lewis

This is the first book that I have read by this author and can't wait to check out more of her books.  I loved the character of Rae and I loved the women that came alongside of her following the loss of her mom.  My mom has been gone from us for over 7 years and went suddenly.  I wish that she would have been able to have written letters and advice to me ahead of time.   I received a complimentary copy of this book.   I loved coming back to Birch Creek and hearing about the previous characters in the series.  My heart hurt for Katherine as she had to escape to Birch Creek.  I also enjoyed the character of Ezra.   I received a complimentary copy of this book. Something Good by Vanessa Miller

This is the first book that I have read by this author and will definitely not be the last.  I really enjoyed the characters of Alexis, Trish and Marquita.  I also enjoyed how some aspects of the story were so difficult but there was the chance for forgiveness and reconciliation.   I received a complimentary copy of this book. O pinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
