Caught in the Crossfire by Sarah M. Blackburn
Kroosreadsandreviews thoughts: I would like to check in to Aspen Acres with its farm to table meals and cozy bed and breakfast.
Instead of the haven that Ryan and Rachel have intended their property to be, it has become a haven for illegal activities. The reader is left to guess throughout the story who is involved and who is innocently caught in the crossfire.
This book was a great read. It had the perfect amount of suspense and romance throughout. I enjoyed that some of the characters made it a priority to have a relationship with God!
I received a complimentary copy of the arc and am posting my honest opinion.
What's it about? Rachel and her brother Ryan have poured everything they have into their quaint Colorado bed-and-breakfast, and it’s become the sanctuary they always envisioned—for them and their guests alike. But then, the arrival of a guest by the name of Caleb Forrester precipitates an avalanche of strange accidents, and Rachel appears to be a target. When Caleb pulls Rachel out of harm’s way just in time, she’s grateful… until his probing questions raise her suspicions.
Caleb, posing as a novelist and a guest, is already in a complicated situation. He’s undercover in more ways than one and determined to root out the drug activity in the area. His mission was simpler when Rachel was a suspect, but with her innocence established, her position is too precarious for him to ignore. Can Caleb uncover the truth while also fighting to keep Rachel safe… even when the B&B’s co-owner, her own brother, might be involved with the perpetrators?
