The relationship between the three sisters was so special!  Sisters don't always get along but will always be on your side.  

It was interesting to me how the community responded to Tabitha returning to the Amish faith.  This was a different spin on the story, which I really enjoyed.  

The idea of green pastures was intriguing and gave me a lot to think about.   The theme of second chances amidst addictions added to the story as well.

What's the book about?

Tabitha Schrock's return to Lancaster County shakes the foundations of her family and community. 5 stars!!!! Somewhere is the place where the reader will want to be!! From the prologue the author has the reader picturing themselves in the story. She engages the reader with her typical deep storyline with its sprinkling of humor throughout.   The idea of turning these abandoned ghost towns into viable properties is such an engaging story I love Maudie--she loves Avalee deeply but also confronts her when needed. A Picture of Hope by Liz Tolsma

5 stars If you enjoy World War II historical fiction, this is the book for you.  I have read many WWII novels but this was a different spin on it with the story revolving around a little girl named Claire who had Down Syndrome.   I think I may need to re-read the ending because I was trying to read the book as fast as I could because I wanted so desperately to know how the story would end!  The character of Sister Maria-Theresa was one that I loved.  She had such strength and faith amidst the adversity that they were facing.  Maria-Theresa always sought the Lord during the crisis and had such wisdom for those around her.   I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.  Wow!   This author does such an amazing job telling a story that the reader thinks they are living with Alex and her family.  I was rooting for so many of the characters.  This book will remain in my thoughts for quite some time.
