Capture the Moment by Suzanne Woods Fisher

Kroosreadsandreviews: Combining photography and the national parks made this a must read for me!   The characters made this story so interesting but my favorites were Maisie and #399.  These weren't the main characters but they made such an impression on me.  Maisie has been through so much in life but she maintained such joy and a bubbly personality filled with fun facts.  399 is a much loved bear that lives in the Tetons.  I loved how she was portrayed throughout the story, a celebrity bear with a resilient spirit.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own. What it's about: Kate Cunningham is facing the opportunity of a lifetime. As a zoo photographer, she's spent years photographing animals in carefully controlled environments, but now National Geographic has dangled an irresistible prize: If Kate can snag a unique photo of a legendary bear in Grand Teton National Park, they just might publish it. It's t...

The Accused by Cara Putman

Kroosreadsandreviews: I love to watch court room dramas and I was excited to read about one. It was interesting to see behind the scenes of a criminal case and the amount of investigating that needs to take place. I loved how Margeaux had such supportive friends in Janae and Chloe. They held her accountable and provided extra support. Chase was an enjoyable character as he fought for the truth without giving in to emotions. Thanks to the author for the arc. The opinions are my own. What's it about: When a popular college student is murdered, her international roommate, Anneliese, becomes a prime suspect. But law professor Margeaux Robbins is convinced the killer can't be the quiet, lonely German in her class. Chase Crandall is a burned-out defense attorney ready to extricate himself from the grind of criminal law. After the loss of a client to tragedy, he's ready for an in-house corporate position. When Chase is assigned to Anneliese's case, Margeaux is horrified. She d...

Their Surprise Reunion by Shelley Shepard Gray

Kroosreadsandreviews: My favorite part of this story was Loaves of Love and how they ministered to the community.  They did it while preserving the dignity and self worth of each individual involved.   Sean, Jackson and Kayla were great characters.  Jackson is only 6 but had so much love for those around him.  The interaction between Sean and Kayla was sweet as they both confronted their past.   Thanks to the author and publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own. What's it about: Kayla Harding knew she’d reached rock bottom when she forced herself to walk through the front doors of Loaves of Love, the food bank in Medina, Ohio, one Saturday morning. Happily, what she finds there is a loving community of people who offer her not just food, but friendship and hope. She also finds Sean Copeland, a former crush, father to six-year-old Jackson and small-town football coach, who volunteers at the food bank. But Kayla is still reeling from her divor...

Sunrise Reef by Irene Hannon

Kroosreadsandreviews: I love Hope Harbor, especially Charley, the taco philosopher! There were so many great characters highlighted in this story including Bren, Emma and Fred.  I loved how Fred and Bren went out of their way to help people in need.  Noah was a wild card and it was interesting to see his character develop throughout the book! There are so many places that I want to visit in Hope Harbor but especially the book store and the bakery! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own. What's it about: After years of searching, Bren Ryan has found her place in Hope Harbor. Working as a barista suits her to a T, as does the laid-back vibe of her adopted town. Nothing is lacking in her life--except romance. But that's okay. Men are a complication she doesn't need. Buttoned-up CPA Noah Ward isn't looking for love, either, when he arrives in town on a mission to convince his father to move closer to him. And he certainly doesn't in...

The Pursuit of Elena Bradford by Ann H. Gabhart

Kroosreadsandreviews: Graham Springs is such an elegant and magical place where people come together for healing and romance.   There was so much romance here for Elena as she has three different men in pursuit of her.  The reader is left wondering whether she will choose for duty or for love.  The relationship between Ivy and her sister was so special.  Sisters have such a bond and it was so nice to see in this story.  Princess Cinderella was the best! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own. What's it about: At twenty-two, Elena Bradford has never met a man who made her consider marriage. But when her father dies and leaves the family deeply in debt, Elena becomes their only hope. Her mother uses their last funds to take Elena and her younger sister to Graham Springs, Kentucky, where people find healing by drinking the mineral spring water and healthy recreation through the many daily activities--including dances ...

If All Else Sails by Emma St. Clair

Kroosreadsandreviews: This was such a breath of fresh air!  Josie was so witty and funny and had such a great personality.  Wyatt is so grouchy but you could tell that underneath that grump, he was soft and sweet!  I didn't want the book to end as the characters were so much fun.  I loved how Wyatt honored his uncle Tom throughout the book.   Jib was the cutest and I could almost picture all of his outfits! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own. What's it about: When Josie's brother sends her to a random address for their (sometimes) annual Super Summer Sibling Extravaganza, she finds neither siblings nor extravaganzas. Instead, ends up at a run-down cottage on the Northern Neck of Virginia occupied by a hockey player she knows and loathes. A hockey player who isn't just one of her sports agent brother's clients. He's also his best friend. And Josie's sworn enemy. Oh--and her brother wants Josie to hel...

The blurb: Rom-com writer Gracie Parker hasn’t written a bestseller since she and her husband, a major league baseball star, divorced five years ago. On thin ice with her publisher—and with a looming deadline—Gracie couldn’t have picked a worse time for a painful injury that has her flat on her back. At this point, she’d accept help from anybody . . . except her first love and ex-husband, Noah Parker. The baseball season has just ended in massive disappointment for Noah. He’s facing the stark reality that he gave up everything for a career that’s let him down and that it might be too late to get back the one person he should’ve held on to. So when Gracie’s nephew calls, saying Gracie’s looking for a tenant for her next-door rental, it feels like it’s meant to be. All Gracie cares about is turning in her manuscript on time, which is directly at odds with Noah’s attempts to win her back, even if she is slightly charmed by his kindness. But can people ever really change? Then Noah throws ...
