Second Chance at Sunshine Inn by Amy Clipston

I want to check in at Sunshine Inn and visit Coral Cove!   I love books set in beach towns, they are so relaxing to me. This book was filled with all of the things that I enjoy--romance, drama, family relationships, etc. Alana reminded me of my grandma.  Alana loved those around her deeply and was such an encouragement to those that were in her life.   I loved the juxtaposition between Cade and Everleigh.  He was kind of grumpy and rough around the edges and she was filled with sunshine.  Yet he was filled with so much compassion for others.   The family relationships added a little bit of drama to the story and made me yearn for restoration.   Another great story by this author! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

Lethal Reunion by Lacey Baker

This was the perfect setting for a romantic suspense--a high school class reunion! I really enjoyed how this novel was realistic in terms of how many bad things happened to the characters. There were many twists and turns in the book. I had some guesses on who was behind all of the trouble but didn't learn the truth until the end. Halle had been through so much in her life but she continues to show up and have such resilience. Kyle was a strong character who worked hard as the sheriff and tried to protect everyone! Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc. The opinions are my own.

The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter

There was a lot to unpack in this story!   The mystery behind who the man was at the carnival was very interesting to me.   The interest between Josh and Maggie was a little bit different to me since they were in-laws.   Brad and Becky had to have so many emotions as the story unfolds.   Will and Zoey were such great kids and were the highlights of the book.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

The Filling Station by Vanessa Miller

Such a powerful story!  The strength and resilience of the people of Greenwood is remarkable, in fact, beyond words.    The author has the ability to tell the horror of the story but also reflect on the struggles and the strength of the characters in the story. The honesty of Margaret and her questioning her faith was expressed well throughout the story.  I loved how Elijah encourages her in her faith but doesn't shove it down here throat.   The Treatt family was great as they were the hands and feet of Jesus to Margaret and Evelyn.   The tragedy and heroism will stay with me for quite some time.   Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

What Not to do on Vacation by Rachel Magee

This story made me remember all of our family vacations and had me wanting to schedule a siblings trip there! I can relate to Savannah as she is the oldest sister and has all of these great plans for the vacation.   She tries so hard to relive all of the old memories especially with their mom not alive any more.   The author left me wondering throughout the story about what Savannah was struggling with and left me guessing. The author does a great job in her descriptions of Cora and Bianca.  I could almost picture them as little sisters and their different personalities. My most favorite interactions were between Cora and Jax.  There was so much sarcasm but so much compassion with both of these characters which made them endearing.    Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Storm Warning by Elizabeth Goddard

A suspense story written in the midst of an awful storm?  This book screamed suspense to me!   This series is set in Hidden Bay and the author does a great job of describing the setting.   The characters are amazing and caused me to question throughout the story who was involved and who wasn't.   I enjoyed how the author incorporates Scripture into the story.   I can't wait to read the next book in the series! Thanks to netgalley and Revell for the arc.  The opinions are my own.
