The Heart of a Cowboy by Jody Hedlund (Colorado Cowboys #2)

5 stars Gosh, I love this series so much!  It was such a fun journey West with Flynn and Linnea.  I learned so much about botany from Linnea and what a strong woman that she was.  I also really enjoyed the character of Ivy, Flynn's little sister.  I also enjoyed visiting again with Wyatt's family in Colorado!  I am on pins and needles waiting for the next book about Wyatt and Flynn's brother, Brody.   Thanks so much to the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

5 stars Get a sneak peek in to the lives of the Graham Family as told by Billy's daughter and grand daughter.  This book gave me a lot of things to think about in my life.  It convicted me personally about sharing the Gospel more readily with those that I come in contact with.  I liked how they used the alphabet to praise  Jesus (chapter 12).  I also liked the quote from Chapter 8 that says, "The Bible is your one sure guide in an unsure world".  Another quote from chapter 6 that I liked was "make the least of all that goes and the most of all that comes".   Thanks so much to the publisher and netgalley for the arc.  The opinions are my own!

The Island We Left Behind by Kate Hewitt

4 stars This is the 4th book in this series and it was again fun to be reunited with characters from Amherst Island.  Ellen and Lucas are living in the midst of the time of the Great Depression.  Lucas is involved in the financial end of things and it becomes very difficult for the family.  I enjoyed the characters in the story! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

Forgiving Paris by Karen Kingsbury

5 stars I absolutely love reading about the Baxter Family.  In fact, I have even read the books for kids to my daughter and she has fallen in love with the Baxters.  I can't wait for her to read the stories of this family when she is older! There were always so many unanswered questions of what happened to Ashley when she was in Paris.  Previous books alluded to the fact that there was more to the story and in this book, the author shines a light on the mystery of Paris.   Landon continues to be such a fabulous character!  His love for the LORD, his family and others is so great.  I love how great of an encourager he is to Ashley.   This book gave me a lot to think about and I am so thankful to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

A Stranger's Game by Colleen Coble

This book was so exciting for me!  I finished it yesterday and am still thinking about it and wish that I could return to the story and the characters that were in it!   This author has become a new favorite of mine for her suspenseful writing.  I mainly read romance but enjoy throwing in a suspenseful fiction every once in a while. The story revolves around Torie who returns to her father's hotel to investigate the death of her best friend.  She meets a man named Joe and his 8 year old daughter and they team up to solve the mystery.  Unfortunately they are met with awful things happening to them throughout the story.  This one will definitely keep you on the edge of the couch as you are reading!! Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.   I received a complimentary copy of this book. O pinions expressed in this review are completely my own. This book also releases on January 4, 2022.

This is the 2nd book in the Maple Falls series and it was so much fun to be back in Maple Falls.  I enjoyed getting reacquainted with the characters and learning more about them.  The main characters in this book are Anita and Tanner and they enjoy working in the service industry.  I enjoyed cheering Anita on in the story as she has struggled with her self worth throughout her life. Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.   I received a complimentary copy of this book. O pinions expressed in this review are completely my own. This book releases on January 4, 2022.

Foundation of Love by Amy Clipston

4 stars This was a sweet, Amish fiction story that revolves around Crystal who is an amazing aunt to her brothers kids.  She becomes friends with the roofer, Duane, but both parties wonder if their differences would keep them apart. The story was charming and a quick and easy read.  Crystal was so selfless in the care for her brothers kids.  I at times was tired for her and a little sad that her brother and sister in law took advantage of her.   Thanks so much to netgalley and the publisher for the arc.  The opinions are my own.

A Flicker of Light by Katie Powner

5 stars Hot Coffee!!  This book was just what I needed!  I discovered this author last year when she published her first book , Sowing Season .  I had found the book on netgalley and thought it sounded very interesting and it was!  I eagerly follow the author on her facebook page and was delighted that I would be a part of the launch team for her new book, A Flicker of Light. The author draws you in to the community of Moose Creek with her phenomenal story telling.  I can almost picture myself in the town at the football game and cheering for the local high school team.  There were so many characters that I thoroughly enjoyed in this story including Bea, Mitch, June, Rand, Jeremy, Steve and Frank.   I always enjoy a book that has real relationships that can be rough at times to navigate yet show how they can rise above the circumstances through their faith and their love for the LORD.   I highly encourage you to check out this book...
